From grapes grown on the clay soils of this dry-farmed dry land of Cauquenes in the Maule Valley, this wine was harvested very early in the season and barrel-aged for 16 months. The fruit is obtained from just 8 rows growing in this wild landscape, and the wine is juice—a crisp, lively delight. Its aromas of blackcurrant, leather, tobacco and spices are very typical for the area. On the palate, the tannins are expressive and elegant. This is a very well-balanced wine with a reach and persistent finish.
